Serve in the beautiful coastal town of Rosignano, just thirty minutes from the historic city of Pisa in the heart of Tuscany. Known for its Mediterranean coastline, vibrant local culture, and rich history, Rosignano offers a unique opportunity to experience authentic Italian life while serving the local community. Nearby Pisa is famous around the world for the Leaning Tower and its centuries-old university tradition, drawing visitors and students from across Italy and beyond.

Come join the local YWAM team as they partner with local churches through youth programmes, discipleship initiatives, and creative evangelism opportunities along the beach and throughout local neighbourhoods. Italy has a deep Christian heritage, yet many people today have little connection with a local church, creating opportunities to build relationships and share the hope of the Gospel in meaningful ways.

You will also have the opportunity to serve alongside ministries that support vulnerable members of the community through food banks, English classes, and practical acts of service. Through community outreach, conversations, and ministry partnerships, you can help demonstrate God’s love in tangible ways while encouraging local believers in their mission. Neighbours & Nations Camp

Your time will begin by joining Neighbours & Nations Camp from the 24th-28th July, where you will join with other young people pursuing missions opportunities both overseas and at home. There will be fantastic worship, teaching and a ton of fun! You'll have a few required workshops during the camp and on the last day join the "Missions Track" where all of our mission teams will be prepared for their upcoming trips!

Your NN Camp ticket is included in the costs for the mission trip of £550 + Flight. Once you've applied, you'll need to purchase your £170 NN camp ticket (£150 if using the EARLYBIRD code before December 31st), and also add the Mission Track Extra to your ticket, which is a £50 deposit for the mission trip. For youth groups, this will likely be arranged by your team leader, for individuals, they will need to do this themselves. Dorm room accommodation will be prioritised for applicants travelling overseas, however it is limited and if at capacity we may ask UK-based groups to camp.

Go!

You'll head to Italy on July 28th and serve in various ways there until 5th/6th August, depending on flight times. On the 6th, you'll spend the day back at YWAM Harpenden reflecting and processing your time overseas, all that you did, how God used you and how you might apply some of what you have experienced in your home communities. You'll also prepare for your group to give a short presentation of your time. 
 

Celebration

On the final day, Saturday 7th August, parents, friends and family are all invited to YWAM Harpenden for a celebration of what God did this year! Each group will have a chance to share how God used you and your team and of course, obligatory snacks... maybe chocolate fountains... who knows?... 
 

How To Apply

We use a system called ServiceReef to manage our mission trip applications. It is a fantastic tool to help us organise everything for your mission trip! Once this location is assigned to your group, we will remove it from public access and provide your group with a private link to ensure that only your group members are able to apply. You'll just need to click the apply link on this page and fill out the application form! It's really important for applicants under 18 to ensure a correct parent email is entered during your ServiceReef account creation as it ensures they are kept in the loop with all communications. 

Once you hit submit on your application, it will be reviewed by our admin team, and then you'll be added to the outreach opportunity (this may take a day or two). You'll then be able to log back into ServiceReef and access all the remaining tasks you will need to complete to finalise your application (references, upload a scan of your passport, submit a background check (for over 18s), upload insurance details, etc.). As the trip gets closer, it's possible that additional tasks may be added to your account if extra information is required; an email will be sent to let you know.

EXPECTED COST: £900 - £1050 per person

N&N Camp Ticket - £120 - Including food voucher (Only £100 with discount code EARLYBIRD before 31/12/2026)
Food Voucher - £50 - Includes 3 meals a day for the duration of N&N Camp. 
Mission Track Deposit - £50 - Goes to cover non-refundable expenses during the application process
Outreach Fees - £400 - Covers all food, accomodation, ministry resources etc on the mission trip
Flight - £300 - £430 - This won't be known until finalised but historically flights to our locations have been in this range.
